Good morning, We have a further update, following on from the one we shared with you earlier this week. A 32-year-old man from Holbury, charged with arson with intent to endanger life and dwelling burglary, has been remanded in custody to next appear at Southampton Crown Court on Thursday 10 September.
Michael Cranwell, of May Close, was further remanded into custody after appearing at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (11 August).
It follows a report to police shortly after 8pm on Sunday (9 August) of a fire which had spread from a hedge to vehicles and residential properties on Rollestone Road, Holbury.
We attended the location, along with our emergency service partners from South Central Ambulance Service and Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire & Rescue Service.
Extensive damage was caused as a result of the fire. Reported injuries were thankfully minor only.
A laptop was also reported stolen from one of the properties on Rollestone Road.
